Foundation elements
Base wall
Base walls act as an intermediate ‘foundation’, i.e. they do not transfer loads to the ground, but only to pad footings. Thanks to this, the actual wall is raised above ground level. In large-scale, hall-type structures, base walls are used as elements of the hall enclosure at ground level. Single-layer footings are protected with moisture insulation on the construction site.

Production process of Base wall
Base walls are manufactured in a similar way to prefabricated walls. Production is done using specialised tilting tables, thanks to which we can obtain a smooth surface. The table tops are equipped with pneumatic cylinders and adhesion vibrators to vibrate the concrete.
Production capabilities of base wall
We offer single- and multi-layer base walls with dimensions tailored to the project. Multilayer elements can be produced in various thickness configurations for individual layers. In the finishing standard, one surface is made of fair-faced concrete or exposed aggregate to increase the adhesion of the cladding. Recesses can be made in elements to put them on pad footings. Base walls are produced on tilting tables that allow for the fabrication of elements measuring 13 x 4.5 m.
Design capabilities of base wall
Elements can be designed with system accessories for connection to the supporting structure (e.g. anchor rails, corrugated pipes) and steel fittings protecting the edges at entrance gates. Base wall elements are most often manufactured as self-supporting units adjacent to external columns. The connection to the column is usually designed as a bolted joint, using mounting brackets screwed with hammer screws to anchor rails embedded in the prefabricated element.
Transport of base wall
Depending on the dimensions of base walls, they can be carried using standard transport with any type of body. In the case of larger base walls, they are transported in special stands on a low-bed semi-trailer or in self-loading semi-trailers.
Installation of base wall
The base walls are supported on footings or column footings. They are set in cement mortar, secured with pins to prevent horizontal movement. Connections to the column and foundation are made using bolted or welded external connectors to ensure the stability of the structure. The connection to the foundation can also be made using sleeve rods and robust corrugated steel pipes.
