With this project completed, our production capacity has been doubled to boost our capability to respond to the market demand which has been growing, especially in eastern and southern Poland.
The state-of-the-art processing line in the Kielce Plant has 7 production lanes, each 120 m long, which will boost the company’s production capacity up to 40,000 m² slabs a month. The production capacity expansion in Kielce will optimise logistical costs and reduce the time to deliver products to construction sites.

Advantages of prestressed HCUs
HCUs find many applications in industrial construction projects, where high load-bearing capacity of members with a low deadweight is key. The key features:
- High load-bearing capacity with relatively low construction height (high slenderness)
- Possible installation of large spans of up to 19 metres
- Fire rating up to REI240
- Relatively low structural weight
- Quick installation — Betard can rent out spreader beams
- 120 cm of standard module width
The slabs manufactured in Kielce and Długołęka are available in 160 mm to 500 mm length options. The range includes six standard thickness options (160, 200, 265, 320, 400, 500 mm) and two fire rating options: REI 60 and REI 120. The 320 mm high slabs are available with REI 240.
The production process uses Y1860 steel grade prestressing strands and reinforcement steel, with the minimum concrete grade of C50/60. The hollows and cuts can be designed according to the engineering requirements for HCU prefabrication.
The launch of the new processing line in Kielce is another step taken by Betard to reaffirm its leadership in pre-cast concrete production in response to the demands of the dynamically growing construction market in Poland.
