Production process of modular tanks

Modular tanks consist of U-shaped intermediate elements, closure elements and lids. They can close the tank completely or leave it open, depending on the project requirements. The elements are manufactured from high-quality concrete.

Production capabilities of modular tanks

BETARD modular tanks are available in a variety of sizes to suit individual investment needs. The internal width of the tank ranges from 2.6 m to 5.6 m, and the length of an individual module can be infinitely adjusted from 1.5 m to 3.0 m. The internal height of the tank reaches a maximum of 3.0 m, ensuring high capacity and efficient use of space. Thanks to its modular design, the tanks can be flexibly configured for use in a variety of terrain and technical conditions.

Design capabilities of modular tanks

The components are manufactured according to customer specifications and applicable safety regulations, taking into account shape, size and material requirements. Tanks can be fitted with installation openings and manholes. The cover plates of underground tanks can be adapted to take up loads, e.g. from vehicles.

Transport of modular tanks

The tanks are transported to the installation site by specialised means of transport adapted to their size and weight. Vehicles with a low-loader semi-trailer are most commonly used. Unloading on site is carried out using a mobile crane with parameters adapted to the site conditions.

Installation of modular tanks

The tank modules are installed in a specially prepared trench. The walls of the excavation must be protected against backfilling to ensure the safety of the work. In the event of groundwater, it is necessary to dewater the excavation in accordance with the dewatering design. The foundation on which the tank is installed must consist of a sub-base with a compaction index of Is≥0.97 and a concrete slab. The modules are connected to each other using certified connectors and seals, guaranteeing ease of installation and tightness.
