Concrete formwork blocks are used as permanent formwork and can be used instead of wooden and metal formwork. They are suitable for the construction of foundation walls, load-bearing walls of residential and utility buildings, columns and pillars, retaining walls, fences, etc. Vertical holes and recesses allow for horizontal and vertical reinforcement.
The volume of concrete needed to fill each ‘25’ formwork block is 20.5 dm³. In addition, there are so-called half blocks on each pallet, which allow for different lengths of the walls to be built without having to cut the blocks, and corner blocks to finish the corners.
The construction of walls with formwork blocks consists of two steps:
1. Dry laying of formwork blocks up to a height of 3-4 layers (approx. 1 m high)
2. Filling with concrete mix and compacting it
* If the wall is to be higher than 1 m, the blocks are placed again and the concrete is poured when the previously poured layer has already reached a dense consistency.
