Leca®BLOK
Leca® BLOK (formerly Optiroc BLOK) is a system of lightweight expanded clay concrete blocks and bricks – when properly selected, they can be used to construct all types of building walls.
Leca® BLOK 24 expanded clay blocks are used to build external and internal walls. They have very good thermal insulation parameters. External walls can be made as single, double (Leca® BLOCK 24 + thermal insulation) or triple-layer (Leca® BLOCK 24 + thermal insulation and air cavity + Leca® BLOCK 12).
Any thermal insulation material can be used for insulation, but the best results are achieved with mineral wool – then the partition is fully vapour permeable.
Use cement-lime mortar to make the walls and brick them with a full horizontal or horizontal and vertical joint.
*Expanded clay has high thermal and acoustic insulation parameters and is resistant to frost, fire, mould, fungi and humidity. The detailed specification of the final product is set out in the Declaration of Performance.
