Stair flights are structural elements installed in staircases for vertical traffic (also in staircases with an elevator shaft core). The most popular product is the straight flight, which is installed on previously prepared monolithic or prefabricated landings and platforms.

Production process

Stair flights are made in specially designed and prepared formwork Depending on which surface will be smooth, they are made in positive or negative forms with the option to use special moulds. If the concrete surface of the stairs is left raw, it is recommended to impregnate the prefabricated element.

Production capabilities

We produce straight flights, flights with one or two landing plates, as well as solid landing plates. Our offer also includes winder stairs and ‘toothed’ stairs with a stepped bottom section. Stairs are made with a trowelled surface of the steps, to be finished on site, e.g. using slabs. We are able to produce flights in the reverse position, with a smooth upper surface (exposed concrete) or a non-slip surface (with an imprinted mould pattern).

Design capabilities

Depending on static schemes, the loads are transferred directly to the staircase walls or indirectly through landings and platforms. To reduce noise, flights and landings can be isolated from the structure using elastomeric pads (tronsole connectors).

Transport

Flights of stairs must be delivered and stored on wooden spacers. The maximum weight delivered on one vehicle should not exceed 24 tonnes.

Installation

Stair landings and flights used in stair flights can be made as a single prefabricated element or two separate elements. The most common solution is to produce a prefabricated flight of stairs and install it on a previously prepared platform and landing, which can be made using either prefabricated or monolithic technology. The prefabricated landing is connected to the wall using starter bars in the wall and corrugated pipes in the landing. The flight of stairs rests on the landing, with elastomeric pads or cement mortar fill between them. The connection of the flight to the foundation is made using a robust pipe embedded in the prefabricate and bars protruding from the slab or foundation wall.
