Three-layer wall

Three-layer walls consist of two reinforced concrete panels and an internal layer of insulation, connected by system interlayer connectors. These walls are mainly used as external façade walls. The internal panel of the sandwich wall serves as a load-bearing element, while the outer non-load-bearing panel provides excellent protection for thermal insulation.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

Production process of there-layers wall

Sandwich walls are produced in a prepared mould on specialised tables, resulting in a smooth external surface. Reinforcement is placed on the prepared surface, along with a system of connectors consisting of flat anchors, rings, and anchoring pins. After pouring the façade layer with a concrete mix, the insulation layer is installed. Once the required strength is achieved, reinforcement for the structural layer is placed on the insulation layer, and the layer is then filled with a concrete mix.

Production capabilities of three-layers wall

The dimensions of the wall are limited only by the size of the work tables and transport requirements. We produce walls up to 50 cm thick. To make a high-quality prefabricated layer, it is necessary to use concrete with a minimum water-cement ratio and non-absorbent materials for the insulation layer, and also to avoid too long compaction and contact of the vibrator with the anchoring elements.

Design capabilities of three-layers wall

The structural concrete layer of the wall is designed to be over 12 cm thick with appropriate reinforcement, acting as a load-bearing wall and working with the load-bearing structure of the building through reinforced concrete or steel joints. The middle insulating layer is designed in accordance with the required thermal insulation. The thickness of the concrete façade layer is usually from 6 to 10 cm.

Transport of three-layers wall

Walls are usually transported in the installation position, i.e. vertically. Depending on the height, walls can be transported on a regular semi-trailer (elements up to 2.5 m high), on a low-bed semi-trailer (up to 2.8 m high) or in a ‘trough’ trailer (over 2.8 m high). Walls transported on a regular semi-trailer or low-bed trailer must be placed in special stands. In the case of "trough" trailers, walls are laid on a special floor that is part of the trailer. The platform is left on the construction site until all elements are installed.

Installation of three-layers wall

In low-rise buildings, the elements are installed directly from the vehicle using a mobile crane. There are elements of large dimensions, weighing up to 20 tonnes, which require a specialist crane for installation on the construction site.
