WPS (Wrocław Floor Slab) floor panels are designed for beam and slab floors, as filling elements between steel floor beams and are mainly used in renovated and modernised buildings (replacing existing wooden or Klein floors).
How to use WPS floor slabs
The floor slabs rest on the lower steel I-beam feet. WPS slabs are 40 cm wide and 87-147 cm long (in 10 cm increments), adapted to the spacing of floor beams from 90 to 150 cm (in 10 cm increments). After laying the slabs on the beams, in the case of laying on the lower shelves of the beams, the space between the I-beams is filled with a light material, e.g. heat-insulating expanded clay. A layer of concrete is poured on top of this.
The load-bearing capacity of the floor depends on the cross-section of the steel beams and their spacing. The weight of WPS slabs is approx. 100 kg/m².
