Description of execution
We supplied prefabricated bridge beams for Porr S.A. The elements were part of the construction of a road viaduct as part of the contract: ‘Design and construction of the S3 Legnica (A4) – Lubawka Task III road, approx. 16.1 km in length, from the Bolków junction (without the junction) to the Kamienna Góra Północ junction (without the junction).
The project included the construction of 66 prestressed T-beams with lengths of 27 and 28 metres, each of which was individually designed by the IVIA design studio.
The beams were characterised by a high compressive force of over 500 tonnes, thanks to which the prefabricated elements obtained high resistance to heavy loads – a particularly important feature in the construction of bridge or viaduct structures.
In order to minimise the impact on traffic flow, the installation of the beams over the railway line took place overnight, which required special precautions and safeguards, as well as detailed planning of deliveries and installation times.
Due to the short lead time, we delivered a total of 16 prefabricated elements each day. This allowed the project to be completed on time.
The entire process was carried out in accordance with safety standards and regulations to avoid possible accidents and threats to employees and other people.
