In the case of box sections, elevator shafts are produced in specially prepared moulds. After setting the reinforcement, the mould is filled with concrete mix.

Elevator shafts can be made as box structures or as a combination of solid or composite prefabricated walls. The height of a single element is usually up to 2.7 m (for higher storeys, it is possible to divide the shaft into higher elements).

The transverse dimensions of the shaft are adjusted to the geometry of the detailed design. The wall thickness is determined individually for each structure. It depends on the static scheme of the elevator shaft, cross-section dimensions, and height.

Depending on the technology used to make the lift shaft, the elements are transported as box structures or wall elements. The maximum weight of the transported load on a single vehicle can be up to 40 tonnes. For elevator shafts with prefabricated walls, they can be transported lying down using spacers between the elements, or in the installation position in special stands. Depending on the height of the individual elements, they are loaded onto a standard trailer (walls up to 2.5 m high) or a low-bed trailer (walls up to 2.8 m high).
