TT floor slab

TT slabs are construction elements designed for the construction of large-span floors with large service loads. The load-bearing elements of the system are beams (ribs) with tendons connected to the slab element. TT slabs receive loads from the floor surface and transfer them as distributed forces to columns and walls. TT slabs are typically used where HCUs are not applicable. TT slabs can achieve higher load-bearing capacities and also provide greater perforation possibilities.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

Production process of TT floor slab

We produce TT slabs on special process lines designed for the production of prestressed elements. The reinforcement of TT slabs is done in two stages. In the first stage, complete reinforcement of the ribs is made, through which the tendons are pulled and tensioned on retaining blocks. After initial tensioning, the slabs are reinforced. The target tensioning force is achieved before concreting using dedicated tensioning presses. After achieving the appropriate concrete strength, the tension is released, transferring the forces to the concrete.

Production capabilities of TT floor slab

The length of the produced elements generally ranges from 6 to 24 m. Underside section smooth due to the formwork. In the production of slabs, we use concrete of at least C50/60, reinforcement steel grade AIIIN and prestressing steel Y1860 S7. Accessories for connection with other elements can be placed in the ribs of the slabs.

Design capabilities of TT floor slab

TT slabs are assumed in static schemes as simply supported beams. We design slabs with rib heights ranging from 40 to 90 cm and rib spacing of 1.2 to 1.4 m (depending on the width of the supporting ribs).

Transport of TT floor slab

Long TT slabs are transported in semi-trailers with adjustable length, the so-called stretch trailers with rear steering axles.

Installation of TT floor slab

TT slabs are installed using specialist equipment and lifted using slings attached to mounting hooks. After placing the slabs on the floor, the surface is reinforced and the concrete topping is laid. TT slabs are supported on the shelves of ‘inverted T’ beams at the ends of the ribs, with or without notches. It is also possible to support them with system steel sections extended as brackets at the upper ends of beams.
