Description of execution
The manufacturing facility has been expanded with 12 modern aeration bunkers, each with an impressive length of 45 metres. This structure plays a key role in the process of preparing the substrate for mushroom cultivation. Due to the specific nature of the technological process, the conditions in the bunkers are difficult – a chemically aggressive environment, large temperature amplitudes and constant moisture. All these factors place high demands on the strength and durability of the structural elements.
Some of the prefabricated elements used have the following exposure classes: XC3, XF2, XA2, XM3. This means that the prefabricated elements are exposed to corrosion caused by carbonation (XC3), aggressive effects of freezing and thawing (XF2), chemical aggression (XA2) and abrasion (XM3).
As part of this project we delivered:
- 245 foot columns,
- 52 columns
- 26 footings,
- 294 solid walls,
- 78 crane beams,
- 24 conveyor belt beams,
- 14 front beams,
- 24 reinforced concrete floor slabs,
- 48 pre-stressed solid panels.
The challenge, and at the same time the key aspect of the project, was to ensure the highest durability of the structure. All elements were designed and manufactured to effectively resist aggressive environmental factors and retain their properties for many years of operation. Thanks to strict production supervision and the prefabrication technology used, the structure is characterised by exceptional durability and reliability.
