Description of execution
At the end of July 2022, we completed work on the expansion of the manufacturing facility in Biskupice Podgórne. We were entrusted with the comprehensive design of the building, as well as the delivery and assembly of both prefabricated concrete elements and the steel structure.
The steel elements made for this project included wind columns, sub-constructions for windows, doors, gates, bracing and roof replacements. We also made floors with surface hardening.
Two buildings were constructed as part of the project: a production hall and a bridge connecting two existing buildings.
The design of the bridge is worth mentioning – an unusual structure built between two existing buildings. It posed a major challenge in terms of design, production and, above all, installation. Due to the lack of space to place the pillars next to the existing building and the density of existing networks in the ground, it was necessary to design and construct non-standard pillars with a long support. The columns had a total width of 4.1m and a height of 15m, which required the construction of a special form and transport in an unusual way during the night. The assembly of such elements on the construction site required high precision and a special system for vertical alignment of this type of elements.
The video below shows the loading and transport of cantilever poles with unusual parameters!
For this project, we manufactured and installed:
- 79 columns weighing up to 30T
- 84 floor beams weighing up to 35T
- 28 prestressed girders up to 21 m long,
- 69 prestressed purlins
- 54 base walls
- 156 solid walls
- 24 flights and landings
- 6,500,000 m² of prestressed hollow core units
- 1 underground tank
