Description of execution
In Rojów, in the municipality of Ostrzeszów, the construction of a manufacturing facility for high-protein drinks and related products has been completed. KARBUD is the general contractor.
We manufactured and supplied both structural and façade elements for the project. The structure of the building consists of a multi-storey post and beam skeleton made of prefabricated elements: 72 reinforced concrete columns weighing 4-5 tonnes, 134 reinforced concrete beams weighing 2-3 tonnes, and 5 prestressed beams acting as tie beams. The floors with a total area of 2,200 m² are made of HCU200 and HCU320 hollow core units.

For this building, over 7-metre-high solid walls, 15 cm thick, were also constructed to serve as a lift shaft. The roof structure was designed as a flat roof. In the 17.5m x 26m part of the plant, HCU320 floor slabs with a span of approx. 13m were installed, supported inside the building by a girder beam – a prestressed beam 1.3m high and spanning over 17m. Its weight exceeded 35 tonnes and 47 tendons with a prestressing force of 180 kN were concreted inside the element.

The façade of the building is made up of columns (75) and beams (78) prefabricated with a uniform light colour obtained through the use of white cement, manufactured at our branch in Przywory. The columns were produced as rectangular with a cross-section of 50 x 25 cm and a height of 6 m. The façade beams were 4.5 m long and were made with the same cross-section to standardise the appearance of the façade.

On the first floor, they have undercuts to hide the column brackets, which improved the visual effect. In order to reduce the weight of the façade elements and minimise deflection, polystyrene inserts were placed inside the beams to lighten the load. The production process required a high level of accuracy and care due to the large variation in the size of the prefabricated elements and the quality of the finish of the façade elements.
